OUTDOOR FURNITURE: THE KINTBURY CHAIR

Celebrity London-based designer Terence Conran has designed Kintbury, a brand new 'table and chair' set for Fermob. With its elegant and romantic curves, geometric and symmetrical lines and attractive wirework, this new collection underlines Fermob’s know-how and the designer’s inspiration. Kintbury is the today designer's vision of the authentic chair of the traditional English gardens.
Quote from designer Terence Conran:

I greatly respect Fermob’s eye for detail which I have enjoyed combining with my rigorous approach to design. Well-designed furniture is pleasing to look at and comfortable to use and will give you many years of long-lasting service and pleasure.

Sir Terence Conran, the designer.

RUNWAY: DIOR IS EXPLORING JAPAN (03)

Would like to share with you today this stunning design from the Christian Dior fashionshow for S/S 2007 Haute Couture, designed by fashion designer John Galliano. After a decade at Dior, John Galliano proved he could still make you speechless with delight and at this point. The first girl revolved onto the runway - konichiwa! The trip to the Land of the Rising Sun had begun. Galliano's research trip to Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, taking him not to the high rise and the high tech, but back to the tea houses and to the company of the graceful geisha. He mixed his designs with Dior's new look and made you think of Grace Kelly, as she stepped off the plane on her tour to Tokyo her ensemble drawing gasps. Today the geisha of the East met the geisha of the West.

FURNITURE: Small Flexible O-table by Ola Giertz Designstudio

The O-table by Ola Giertz Designstudio is a small flexible unit inspired by antique brass candlesticks. We usually move this type of candlesticks by inserting our finger into the special eye that allows us to smoothly carry the candle. This is the idea of a sideboard based on the same concept, a sideboard with a handle that creates a removable and changeable furniture. The name of the table comes from the circular shapes that are recurrent in the table top, the rounded legs and the round handle.
